Andrew "Unk" Lux, age 43, of Oshkosh died Thursday, January 14, 2016, at home. In the end his demons and addictions were stronger than he was. He was born November 4, 1972, in Oshkosh, the youngest of eight to Robert and Delores (Stutzman) Lux. Unk lived life to the fullest on his own terms. He enjoyed helping people and spent much of his life cooking. He was fond of his time being employed at Brett Favre's Steakhouse and he most recently worked at The Charcoal Pit II in Oshkosh. Unk was filled with interesting and even sometimes eye rolling stories if you got the chance to listen. He was a true one of a kind character and was loved dearly by not only his family but the extended family he created in a few of his lifelong friends. Unk had a knack for connecting with a diverse crowd and found friends in those he worked with and the patrons who frequented his job. He worked rather hard while living a regular life which included adventures of many kinds. Unk will be remembered for many things, especially for adding just a little extra life to the party. He will be missed by: his sisters and brothers, Angie (Lyle) Zabel, Patrick Lux, Mitch (Lisa) Lux, Ann (Jennifer Arndt) Lux, Shelly (Steve) Klinger; nieces and nephews, Guy (Trina) Lux, Darcie Lux (Jeff), Earl (Ashlee) Dishmon, Becky Dishmon (Paul), Robin (Mike) Vaughan, Mason and Lauren Klinger; great-nephews and great-nieces, Eli and Dominic, Landon, Maya and Bryce, Aurora Berry; a special aunt, Mickey Getchel; special friend, Rodney; a special little boy, Drew; and aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers, regular customers, and dear friends. Unk was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Mike and Tod Lux. A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, January 18, 2016, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 6:30 at the funeral home with Pastor Jan Veseth officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Winneconne Cemetery.
