Anne Elizabeth nee Grunske Boss Oshkosh, Wisconsin Anne Elizabeth nee Grunske Boss, age 65, of Oshkosh, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at home. She was born September 8, 1946, in Oshkosh to the late William and Angie (Hopf) Grunske. Anne was a 1964 graduate of Oshkosh High School and she completed the Marquette Dental Hygiene Program. On March 7, 1969, she married John Fred Boss at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Oshkosh. Anne worked as a dental assistant, was a Farm Services field reporter, Warehouse Foods cashier, and for the past 13 years she was a resident associate for Lutheran Homes-Gabriel's Villa. Anne was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Oshkosh, and since 1975 she was an active member of the 20th Century Club. Anne enjoyed cooking, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and friends. Anne loved living in the country. She liked to pick up hickory nuts, and feed the birds, rabbits, and squirrels. Anne loved to see the flowers, plants, trees, and crops grow. She liked to see the deer in the summer and the fox in the winter. Anne did not like any hunting on any part of the farm. She said the animals needed a place where they could be safe. Anne was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother; always willing to help where ever she could. She was an especially thoughtful person. Anne loved her family and will be deeply missed. Anne is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Fred Boss, of Oshkosh; three children, Jenni (Mark) Riedeman, of Brandon; Molly Boss, of Hong Kong, China; Benjamin Boss, of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Will, Luke, and Noah Riedeman, of Brandon; cousin, Paul Grunska; and many other relatives and friends. Along with her parents, Anne was also preceded in death by a daughter, Katie Marie Boss in 1978; and a brother, William James Grunske in 2011. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Pastor RaeAnn Beebe officiating. A private burial will be on Wednesday, April 18 in the Plummer Cemetery, Oshkosh. A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
