Barbara Ann (Barry) Boss, age 70, of Oshkosh, passed away, Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at home. She was born in Leesburg, Florida on September 16, 1945, to William and Dorothy (Sundstrom) Barry. On August 16, 1969, Barbara married Jay R. Boss. After teaching for 32 years, she retired in 2001 because of her health. Barbara had been a volunteer for the Oshkosh Literacy Council for many years, a supporter of the Humane Society, and a lifelong quilter. Barbara is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 46 years, Jay; two brothers, John Barry, of Wichita, Kansas; Steve (Ellen) Barry, of Birmingham, Alabama; two brothers-in-law, Rick (Wanda) Boss, of Austin, Texas; Wayne (Mary) Boss, of Oshkosh; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who enriched her life and made her feel loved. A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, August 6, 2016, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Brooks Cemetery, town of Vinland.
