Charles Henry Esch, age 71, of Winneconne died Monday, October 10, 2016, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton. He was born January 29, 1945, in Milwaukee to Henry and Alyce (Netik) Esch. Chuck was a 1963 graduate of Rufus King High School in Milwaukee. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Chuck worked for many years as a machinist until his retirement. Chuck is survived by a brother, Leo (Doris) Esch, of Winneconne; a sister, Donna (Jacob) Jovanovich, of Hartford; nephews and niece, John (Deb) Esch, Nick (Lavonna) Jovanovich, Jessica (Jeffrey) Stuettgen; step-nephews, James (Deb) Brewer, Jerald (Tammy) Brewer; and other relatives and friends. Preceding Chuck in death were his father, Henry Esch; and mother and step-father, Alyce and William Schulz. A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Fr. Edward Looney and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Military honors will follow. Inurnment will be in the Rushford Cemetery.
