Claudia Jean McCarty, age 77, of Winneconne, WI, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026, due to complications of pneumonia.

Claudia was born in New London, WI to Claude and Arleen (Scott) Hidde. Claudia lived in Winneconne most of her life. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, spending time with her dearest friends, Joey & Jerry Wenzel and getting together with family as often as possible. Claudia was known for baking cookies and bringing them to gatherings. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years.

Claudia is survived by her two brothers, James (Judy) Hidde of Willard, Wi and Daniel Scott of Pensacola, Fl; nephews, Ron (Darleen) Hidde and Nate (Erica) Hidde; nieces, Dana (Michael) Ender, Ann (Todd) Jones and Lynn (Dwayne).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Arleen Hidde; sister-in-law, Arleen Scott; and her partner, Clarence Tarala,

Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service for Claudia on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00am, taking place at the Winneconne Cemetery.
