Richard “Slippery” Lee Christianson Sr. age 83, of Larsen, died Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Heartwood Homes in Appleton. He was born on November 4, 1938, to the late Birdell “Bud” and Lucille (Cornelius) Christianson. On December 6, 1958, Dick married Judy Tesch at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah. For many years Slippery owned and operated 3C’s Liquor and Bud’s Sales & Service in Larsen. In 1987 he started working as a sales rep for Glandt-Dahlke Inc. until retiring in 2005. Dick enjoyed snowmobiling, and for over 50 years he attended the Kentucky Derby. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Neenah.

Dick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judy Christianson, of Larsen; daughter, Kim (Randy) Hankemeier, of Neenah; son, Richard Lee Jr. (Patti) Christianson, of Larsen; grandchildren, Steven (Bre) Hankemeier, Thomas Hankemeier (Carly), all of Neenah; Laura (Brad) Clemens, of Ironwood, Michigan; great-grandsons, Weston and Emerson Hankemeier, both of Neenah; Judy’s brothers and sisters, Lloyd (Alice) Tesch, Larry (Norma) Tesch, Susan (Mike) Westenberger, all of Neenah; Sandra Tesch, of Fond du Lac.

Along with his parents, Dick was also preceded in death by Judy’s parents, Walter and Evelyn Tesch; a granddaughter, Melissa Christianson; and Judy’s brother and his wife, LeRoy and Gerry Tesch.

A private funeral service will be held and burial will be in the Clayton Cemetery. Mueller Funeral Home-Winneconne is assisting the family.
