Diane Welbes, age 70, of Winneconne, died Monday, September 3, 2018, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. She was born February 25, 1948, in Neenah to Robert and Marian (Kruse) VanOudenhoven. On September 14, 1968, Diane married John Welbes and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in a week. Diane loved and adored her children and grandchildren and liked spending time with her many special friends. She enjoyed gardening and her dogs. Diane is survived by her husband, John Welbes; two sons and their families: Shane (Erika) Welbes, and their children, Colin, Phoenix, and Brody; Jesse (Brian Benkoske) Welbes; two brothers and a sister, Steve (Sally) VanOudenhoven, John VanOudenhoven (special friend, Sue); Patricia (Mark) Kadlec; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding Diane in death were her parents. A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, September 6, 2018, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne.
