Dolores R. Busse, age 93, of Omro, died Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Oakwood Manor in Oshkosh. She was born August 9, 1924, in Oshkosh to the late Louis and Flora (Pommerening) Klier. On November 20, 1943, Dolores married Lawrence Busse at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zion, and they lived and farmed in the town of Omro. She had also worked at Miles Kimball, Prange-Way, and Oshkosh Trunk. Dolores was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, the Zion Ladies Aid, and the West Homemakers Club, of which she was a 50+ year member. Dolores enjoyed horseback riding, crafts, sewing, reading, gardening, photography, cats, and spending time on the computer, which included doing extensive genealogy research. She also volunteered at the Oshkosh Library. Dolores is survived by three children, Randy (Lynn) Busse, Debby (Bob Grzywacz) Halterman, Sharon (Zach) Allen; grandchildren, Jennifer (Matthew) Biese, April (Patrick) Parise, Eric (Soonja Kim)Busse, Ryan (Aimee) Busse, Kendra (Joe) Felts, Robert Allen; fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Earl (Iris) Busse, Arthur Busse; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Along with her parents, Dolores was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, on June 23, 2005; two sisters, three brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law, Amber and Orville Marohn, Eleanor and Arnold Weiss, Eileen Busse, Lorraine and Robert Prochnow. A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, 5355 Cty Rd. K, Oshkosh. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Jud Krohn officiating. Burial will be in the Omro Junction & Union Cemetery, Omro.
