Donna E. Jarke, age 76, of Winneconne, died Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Northpoint Medical and Rehab in Oshkosh. She was born December 12, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Vincent and Alice (Bacciocco) Lichtenfels. On February 4, 1961, she married Benjamin Jarke at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Skokie, Illinois. Donna worked for over 30 years in the grocery business, most of those years in Winneconne. Donna was best known as "the bakery lady". She got to know many customers over the years, if not by name by their favorite donut! Donna enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting, going to the Oneida Casino, EAA, the Packers especially Brett Favre, shopping, going up north, and most importantly doing everything with her family. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Winneconne. Donna is survived by two daughters and their families, Veronica (Jason) Robinson, of Winneconne, and their children, Remy and Brock; Jennifer (Paul) Kropidlowski, of Menasha, and their son, Lance; and many other family and friends. Along with her parents, Donna was also preceded in death by her husband, Ben; one sister, Patricia Colaianne; along with many other close family and friends. A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St., Winneconne, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 2 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr., Winneconne. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. The family would like to thank the many family and friends who supported Donna through her journey with cancer, including the many caregivers she had to help keep her living in her home where she was happiest. Also to the many doctors, nurses and aides who guided Donna in her care, including the staff at Aurora Medical Center, Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center, Northpoint Medical and Rehab, and Generations Hospice Care. However, without the care and support of Dr. S. Virani, Oncologist at the Vince Lombardi Clinic in Oshkosh, Donna could not have successfully and astonishingly kicked cancers butt. The "Energizer Bunny" will live on in spirit.
