Dorothy M. Lovell departed this life and joined her Lord and Savior in eternal bliss on Sunday the 7th of June 2026.

A lifelong resident of Omro, Wisconsin, Dorothy was born on May 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Max and Stella (nee Pohlman) Retzlaff.

She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Grace Lutheran Church in Omro, where she remained a faithful member her entire life.

Dorothy was married on September 26, 1953, to Merlynn Lovell, her husband of 72 years.

She was preceded in death by her sister Grace and her husband Joseph Vowels, and her brothers Charles Retzlaff and his wife Phyllis, Lyle Retzlaff and his wife Margaret, Orin Retzlaff and his wife Marian, Clair Retzlaff and his wife Ruth and her brother-in-law, Darwin and his wife Eleanor.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Merlynn, her son Dean (Bonnie) Lovell, her daughter Maxine (Daniel) Neumann, and four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 11th at Grace Lutheran Church, 720 Jackson Ave, Omro, WI. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church, with the service following. Pastor Mark Wenzel is officiating. Burial will be in the Omro Junction & Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Grace Lutheran Church in Omro.
