Dorothy (Peterson) Wentz, passed away on August 7, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1936 to the late Adolph and Alice Peterson. Dorothy was the eldest of nine children and embraced the role of caretaker, always looking out for her siblings with love and devotion.
Dorothy graduated from Winneconne High School and eventually married George Wentz, spending most of her married life in Georgia. There, she skillfully balanced her role as an office manager for George’s business, all while nurturing a beautiful home filled with vibrant flower gardens. Dorothy had a passion for art and spent many happy hours painting lovely pictures that reflected her joyful spirit.
After the passing of her husband and son, Dorothy returned to her roots in Wisconsin, where she embraced life with a love for travel and cherished moments with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her sisters, Violet Rhyner, Arlene Michels, Lucille Weidemann and June (Robert) Johnson; brothers, LeRoy (Karilyn) Peterson and Richard (Cindy) Peterson; brothers-in-law, Charles Bradley and David Krueger. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George Wentz; son, James Warner; sisters, Ruth Bradley and Marion Krueger; brothers-in-law, Thomas Rhyner, Glenn Michels and Hartwell “Skip” Weidemann.
Per Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no formal services held.
