Dorothy L. Szep, age 95, of Omro, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Westbrooke Manor in Oshkosh. She was born March 4, 1921, in Omro to the late William and Emma (Petch) Heise. On September 30, 1944, Dorothy married Elmer Szep at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church and they farmed their entire married lifetime in the town of Omro. She was a lifetime member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Ron (Nancy) Szep, of Little Chute; Richard (Karen) Szep, of Omro; four granddaughters, Christine (Gregg) Batzer, of Menominee; Allison (Michael) Bucciferro, Linda Derber, and Sara Szep, all of Omro; one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Bucciferro; a sister, Norma Arndt; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Along with her parents, Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband Elmer in 2004; and nine sisters and brothers. A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, April 25, 2016, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, 5355 Cty Rd. K, Oshkosh. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Jud Krohn officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Zion Ev. Lutheran Church.
