Elizabeth "Liz"
June (Hansen) Anderson
June 11, 1935 – February 17, 2018
Elizabeth "Liz" June (Hansen) Anderson, age 82, of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, went home to God on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at The Waterford of Oshkosh. She was born June 11, 1935, in Blue River, Wisconsin, to Weggo and Edna (Maurer) Hansen. Liz graduated from Winneconne High School and attended UW-Madison for pre-nursing courses before returning to Oshkosh to marry Eugene Anderson. They lived on the Anderson homestead farm just south of Larsen, Wisconsin and were blessed with five children, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Liz loved to decorative paint, and blessed many lives with her folk art works. Her largest accomplishment was the mural, "Children of the World", which is still on display at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, were the light of her life. Liz enjoyed traveling across the USA to spend time with them, when possible. Fall football season was her favorite; she loved her Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers-Go, Pack, Go!! She also loved to attend events for her children and grandchildren, to cheer them on. Liz enjoyed a good competitive game of Monopoly, Scrabble, or card games. She had a passion for reading, and telling stories about Rufus the squirrel. Her giving heart and love of God were the greatest gift she gave to all. She always put others first, would go the extra step to make sure things worked out for everyone. Liz always had a smile on her face, and approached life with a positive attitude. Surviving Elizabeth are five children and their families, Philip and Mary Anderson, of Houston, Texas, and their daughter, Rachel; Judy Klusman, of Salisbury, North Carolina, and sons, Charlie (Amanda), great-granddaughter, Eleanor, of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; and James (Heather), great-grandson Finn, of Half Moon Bay, California; Paul and Tammy Anderson, of Perry, Michigan, and their daughters, Ashley and Amy; Ellen and Bill Pitsch, of Larsen, and their sons, Christopher (Gina), great-granddaughter, Zoey, and Joe (Becca) West Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Susan and Paul Patenaude, of Seminole, Florida, and their children, Bryce and Brianna; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Anderson; and siblings, Genevieve Netz, Doris Rector, Wilma Meyer, and Ernest Hansen. A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, February 24, 2018, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester 8396 Steeple Hill Dr., Larsen, Wisconsin. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Connie Bramlett officiating.
