Eric R. Elskamp, 50, of the Town of Vinland, died Thursday, April 9, 2026, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah from complications of a stroke.

He was born on June 20, 1975, in Dubuque, Iowa to Mark and Mary Lou (Dalsing) Elskamp. On November 6, 1999, Eric married Wendy Aird at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler, Wisconsin. For 30 years Eric worked as a manufacturing engineer with Orbis Corporation. He enjoyed boating, hunting, sturgeon spearing, and trips to Florida, and was a Green Bay Packer fan.

Eric is survived by his wife of 27 years, Wendy Elskamp; a son, Lucas Elskamp; his mother, Mary Lou Elskamp; two brothers and their families, Craig (Kay) Elskamp and their daughters ,Carissa Godchild of Eric, and Kaitlyn; Brian (Natalie) Elskamp and their children, Samuel, Jonathan, Elijah, Genevieve, Magdalene, and Micah. He is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cindy and Ken Aird; in-laws and their families, Tara (Rick) Mills and their children, Derek, Godchild of Eric, and Ella Mills; Heidi Aird and her children, Del and Phoebe Adams; and best friends, Dale and Missy Watson.

Preceding Eric in death was his father, Mark Elskamp, in 1989.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne, with Fr. Peter Auer and Deacon Paul Vidmar officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the Mass. Following the Mass, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Fin n Feather 22 W. Main St. Winneconne from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Eric’s name.

Eric’s family wishes to thank the staff of ThedaCare ICU and ThedaCare Hospice, especially Dr. Tiffany Miller and nurse Taylor for their care and concern shown.
