Erwin "Erv" F. Schmidt Erwin "Erv" F. Schmidt, age 101, of the Town of Poygan, died Thursday, October 13, 2011, at the Omro Care Center. He was born February 26, 1910, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late John and Ida (Tow) Schmidt. On June 20, 1953, Erwin married Frances Brunner at St. Thomas Catholic Church in the Town of Poygan, and they made their home in Milwaukee. He was employed at Whissler Instrument Co. in St. Louis, the David White Co. and Scientific Instrument in Milwaukee as a survey instrument technician. In 1981 Erv retired and he and Frances moved to the Town of Poygan. Frances preceded Erwin in death on June 12, 2006. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Winneconne. Erwin is survived by many cousins and friends. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. Sr. Pam Biehl will be officiating, and burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Town of Poygan.
