Franca Maria Bendixen Franca Maria Bendixen, age 88, of Winneconne, died of Alzheimer's disease on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh. She was born January 1, 1923, in Asti, Italy, to the late Emilio and Tilde (Rey) Feletig. On June 22, 1946, Franca and Bernard Bendixen were married by an Army chaplain in Leghorn, Italy. They made their home in Winneconne for 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne. Franca is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bernard Bendixen; relatives in Italy; and friends. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne, with Fr. Jason Blahnik and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating.
