Francis "Frank" J. Fisher, 73, of Omro, died Monday, March 17, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 8, 1951, in Oshkosh to the late Roy and Delores (Monahan) Fisher. Frank enlisted and served in the Army. On June 2, 1973, he married Mary Will at St. Mary Catholic Church, Omro. For many years Frank worked construction, retiring from Boldt Construction. Mary preceded Frank in death after 45 years of marriage. He then met and married Lori Zimmerman-Meyerhofer on March 19, 2021. He was a member of the Flying Mane Riding Club, Waukau and St. Mary Catholic Church, Omro. Frank enjoyed horseback riding, camping, UTVing, hunting, hobby farming, and spending time with his family including sitting around the fire eating peanuts.
Frank is survived by: his wife of 4 years, Lori Meyerhofer-Fisher; his four children, Eric Fisher, of Wautoma; Janeen (Jared) Wagner, of Omro; Jennifer (Jeffrey) Schmitz, of Omro; Jason (Tracy) Fisher, of Omro; step-children, Anna (Justin) Pamer, Nadia Meyerhofer; grandchildren, Samantha, Brandon, and Coleton (Tasha) Fisher, Austin and Garrett (fiancée, Amanda Barkholtz) Wagner, Peyton and Logan Schmitz, Matthew and Grant Fisher; step-grandchildren Hudson and Harley Pamer; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Eli Fisher; brothers and sisters, Maurice (Vonnie) Fisher, of Oshkosh; Donna Krueger, of Winneconne; Anita (Dave) Youngbauer, of Berlin; Edward (Brenda) Fisher, of Neenah; mother-in-law, Ila Zimmerman, of California; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Julie Beck, of Oshkosh; Kay (Jeff) Larson, of California; Sandra (Richard) Mathison, of Winchester; Vicki (Howard) Luedtke, of Winneconne; Diane Reinert, of California; Joan Will, of Winneconne; Brenda (Paul) Gerrits, of Redgranite; Douglas Will, of Berlin; Jeanie (Kip) Davis, of Omro; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Along with his parents and wife, Mary, Frank was also preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Fisher; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Krueger and Michael Will.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 9:00 to 12:00 noon at St. Mary Catholic Church 730 Madison Ave. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon at the church with Fr. Joe Mattern and Deacon Paul Vidmar officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Omro Cemetery.
