Gail "Buzzy" Schwandner of Appleton, formerly of Winneconne, went home on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. She was born on November 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Clarence and Victoria Wentzel. Gail graduated from Winneconne High School in 1954. On September 7, 1957, she married Raymond Schwandner. She was a long-time member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Neenah. For many years Gail worked at Kimberly-Clark until her retirement.

Buzzy was a wonderful and kind wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved animals, enjoyed reading, polka music, dancing, and playing cards with friends and family.

Gail is survived by her husband of 66 years, Raymond; daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Paul Bellile, Sharon and James DeGroot; grandson, Steven DeGroot (fiancée, Eda Demirel); and other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Gail was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Susie Wentzel; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private service will be held and burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery-Poygan.
