Gary D. Compton, Sr. Oshkosh, Wisconsin Gary D. Compton, Sr. age 49, of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly, Sunday, October 11, 2009. He was born September 20, 1960 in Munising, Michigan to Jerry and Nancy (Ely) Compton. Gary served in the U.S. Navy in Virginia for 8 years. On February 14, 1995 he married Candice Alsteen. For the past 11 ½ years Gary had worked for Radtke Contractors, Winneconne. He enjoyed watching football and racing, especially NASCAR. Gary is survived by his wife, Candice Compton; his children, Gary Compton, Jr., Jeremy Compton, Sr., Tiffany Compton, Chessica Compton, and Kiana Lee Compton; two grandchildren, Caleb Compton, and Jeremy Compton, Jr.; his father and step-mother, Jerry and Pam Compton; his mother, Nancy Ely; two brothers, Terry (Lisa) Compton, Larry Compton; and one sister, Mary Pietsch. A Funeral Service for Gary will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Pastor Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh, on Wednesday, October 21, 2009.
