George Shipman Forbes, Jr. Town of Vinland, Wisconsin George Shipman Forbes, Jr., age 70, of the Town of Vinland, died Sunday, December 11, 2011, at his home. He was born March 16, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to the late George, Sr. and Elinor (Welles) Forbes. On June 26, 1976, he married Susan Trautman at Heritage Presbyterian Church in Muskego, Wisconsin. For many years George owned and operated an office supply business in Appleton. He was a member of the Appleton Noon Optimist Club, a past-president of the Oil-Aires Stock Club, and was one of the charter investors of American National Bank. George enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid collector of many things. Surviving George is his wife of 35 years, Susan Forbes; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Lorna Trautman; a brother-in-law, Dennis Trautman; and many cousins and friends. A Private Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Pastor Mara Rivera officiating.
