Gerald H. Tritt, Sr. age 84, died Friday, August 22, 2014, at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King, where he has been a resident since 2008. He was born December 2, 1929, in Omro to the late Gerald and Hilda (Schmude) Tritt. Gerald served his country for 10 years in the U.S. Air Force, including duty in Korea. He made his home in Nebraska from 1960 to 2008. Gerald is survived by one son, three daughters, and their families, Gerald, Jr. (Ruth) Tritt, of Oshkosh; Cindy Lou (Larry) Hensley, of Alabama; Sharie Ann (Jerome) Leeman, of Oshkosh; Linda Sue Bloch, of Nebraska; brothers and sisters, Berniel (Lorraine) Tritt, Elaine Collins, June Smith, Janet Ticks, Beverly (Ed) Rehfeldt, Delroy (Joyce) Tritt; former step-children, Margaret Stenson, Perry Crow, Wayne Crane, Tom Crane, and their families; and other relatives and friends. Along with his parents, Gerald was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Carol Hinz, Arleta Tritt, and Sherden Tritt. A visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, August 31, 2014, from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A prayer service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with military honors to follow. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Town of Poygan.
