Harvey J. Rengstorf Winneconne, Wisconsin On October 24, 2011, Harvey J Rengstorf, age 84, joined the love of his life, Catharine; in eternal bliss on what would have been their 58th wedding anniversary. Harvey graduated in 1945 from Sterling Nebraska High School. He proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952 and was a member of the American Legion, serving as Commander and Chaplain. In 1953 Harvey married Catharine and in 1964 they bought property in Winneconne where they spent their summers. Harvey joined the Milwaukee Police Department in 1955 and retired in 1982 to Winneconne. Harvey was an active member of the community elected to the Winneconne town board in 1990, serving as Chairman since 1998. He was elected as Winnebago County Supervisor of district 37 in 1994 and served until his death. Since 1964 he has been a member of St Mary Catholic Church, Winneconne. Harvey is survived by his children: Debra Stanton, Donna (Norb) Meunier, Di-Anne Rengstorf, John Rengstorf, Scott (Lisa) Rengstorf, and Denise (Daniel) Schmadl, Michael David Jr.; grandchildren: Brian (Shelly) Stanton, Joshua (Nicole) Stanton, Christopher Meunier, Jolene Meunier, Stefanie Stanton (fiancé, Dave Fry), Tracy Meunier, Rachael Stanton (fiancé, Brian Serdynski), Eric Meunier (fiancée, Ashley Chalmers), Jon Rengstorf, Catharine Schmadl, Jason Rengstorf, Samantha Rengstorf, Brandon Schmadl; great-grandchildren: Paige, Nicholas, Chase, Mackenzie, Dominic, and Tyler; step-grandchildren: Ashley and Eric Lewandowski, and step-great-granddaughter, Ella Kastelic. He is also survived by one brother, Vane (Dee) Rengstorf; sisters-in-law Pat Sabel and Barbara Rengstorf; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Along with his parents and wife, Harvey was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Timothy Stanton; brother, Harlan Rengstorf; sisters-in-law, Rita Dauer and Marion Rengstorf; and brother-in-law, Raymond Sabel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne, with Fr. Paul Vanden Hogen officiating. Burial will follow in the Winneconne Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, October 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. to be followed by a Tribute to a Veteran Service. Visitation will continue on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Mueller Funeral Home 904 E.
