Helmut W. Arndt Appleton, Wisconsin Helmut W. Arndt, age 81, of Appleton, formerly of Winneconne, died Monday, August 16, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born November 2, 1928, in Belgard, Germany to the late Karl and Minna (Kauz) Arndt. On February 22, 1958, Helmut married Brigitte Sauer in Milwaukee. For 31 years he worked at Super Sky Products in Thiensville until retiring in 1985. Helmut and Brigitte spent their last winters in Florida. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. Helmut is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brigitte Arndt, of Appleton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas Arndt, of Alaska; Stephan and Laurel Arndt, of Colorado; one niece and two nephews, all of Frankfurt, Germany. Along with his parents, Helmut was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. A Service of Comfort will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne. Cremation will follow.
