IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacob Rand
Lindstedt
May 23, 2008 – September 19, 2021
Jacob Rand Lindstedt was born May 23, 2008, to Erik and Elizabeth Lindstedt. Jacob was the most amazing big brother to his best friend Ryan Lindstedt. Jacob fought and beat brain cancer twice along with beating AML leukemia thanks to Dr Jake Read donating his bone marrow; all before the age of 10.
As a result of his cancer treatment Jacob suffered lung damage that resulted in a double lung transplant in October of 2019. Jacob was a rockstar during all of his treatments, surgeries, tests and months of hospital stays. He never complained. Unfortunately, Jacob ended up with a virus in his blood and lungs that resisted treatment no matter how hard the doctors tried. Jacob and his parents fought hard every day to make sure every chance was given. Jacob passed away still winning his fight wrapped in his parent's arms on September 19, 2021.
Jacob would talk your ear off about everything and anything. He had a great love of music and would sing his heart out every chance he could. He was just the most amazing kid ever.
He leaves behind his daddy and mommy, Erik and Elizabeth Lindstedt, and brother, Ryan Lindstedt, of Omro; grandparents Glenn and Carol Rand; Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Jay, of Oshkosh; Aunts Diane Kerruish, Denise Sell and Debbie Sensor; Uncles Robert Sell and Ted Sensor, all of Illinois; along with so many cousins he truly loved and adored.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dennis and Darlene Lindstedt, of Winneconne; and Aunt Donna Lindstedt, of Illinois.
A special thanks to all who loved, prayed and supported the family throughout Jacob's journey starting in Omro and spreading across the globe.
The family would also like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at American Family Children's Hospital of Madison, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Memorial Sloan-Kettering of New York for taking such good care of Jacob over the last nine and a half years.
