Jacqueline “Jackie” R. Theabo, age 92, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away on May 11, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center, in Oshkosh, WI, with family by her side.
She was born at St. Mary Hospital in Oshkosh on March 25, 1934, the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Nigl) Schneider. She married Herbert Theabo on September 17, 1955. Jackie graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1952 and then worked in the office of Oshkosh B’Gosh. In 1956 she became a legal secretary to attorney John A Moore, working for him for 43 years, she then worked for attorney Charles Williams until 2002 before she retired.
Jackie was the oldest of six children, she enjoyed the many get-togethers with family and friends, weekly Sunday dinners, the many trips with Herb, and trips to Las Vegas with friends. She loved reading, cooking, playing cribbage, trips to various casinos, and playing bingo.
She volunteered at her church. St. Mary’s of Winneconne, at Fr. Carr’s and Salvation Army in Oshkosh.
Jackie is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Steven) Breister of Winneconne, WI; grandson, Alex (Diana) Breister and granddaughter, Brittany Breister, both of Oshkosh, WI; brothers, Ralph Schneider of San Antonio, TX, Bernard (Patrcia) Schneider; sister, Diane (Gary) Schmude; sister-in-law, Sandra Schneider, Mabel Kunde, all of Oshkosh, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, Marie and Louie Theabo; husband, Herb; her son, Stephen (Cindy) Theabo; sister, Jane Stine; brother, Daniel Schneider; brother and sister-in-law Earl (Elaine) Theabo, Ronald Kunde, and William Stine.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church- Winneconne, 210 Pleasant Dr, on Saturday, May 16, 2025, at 9:00am until the start of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Oshkosh, WI.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
The family wishes to thank Nancy and Rick Meetz for being amazing caring neighbors. As well as Suzanne and Geoff Carman for their help. Family wishes to extend a special thanks to the wonderful nurses at Aurora on 3 West and her hospice nurse, Sarah of Aurora Hospice.
