Obituary

James Kovatch died Friday, December 10, 2021.

James, 40 years young, AKA Jayme, Rainbow, Cuz, Jim-bo, Bro/Solo.

A little about him, he had a huge heart. He would always start a visit with "how is it going? how are the kids and the family and special friends?" James loved being outside, cars, music, and art. The ladies loved him and he always had his Bro's backs, to the point he forgot take care of himself. The love of music started with Christian music, then he started to play the cello and listening to Yanni. As James got older his taste in music went to older rock and even included Tupac.

Now, as far as cars were concerned, that love started when he took his brother on his newspaper route because it was raining out. It didn't matter if he was wrenching on it or detailing it, it made his day feel complete. Any time he could go for a cruise and listen to tunes he was in a happy place.

Food didn't help his health but it did get him creative. Ice cream and grits were his faves and a few knew about the banana sandwich or syrup bread. Cooking and art he got from his dad. Every occasion we would get a homemade card. But let's not forget the neon splashes of paint on the walls at the little house.

James' love for being outside came from family, be it a fire in the pit, camping, walking at High Cliff, going to carp ponds or granite quarries. Grilling, fishing, star gazing at the moonlit skies, or just cutting the grass. Just being out and free.

All of his life James tried to do better, some days were better than others. Six months ago, his plan was to back to school to be an AODA counselor.

He is in the good Lord's hands at home with the ones who have gone before him. Rest in peace, you will be missed.
