James I. Williams, age 72, of Redgranite, died peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2014, at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah surrounded by his family. He was born January 20, 1942, in Bowler to the late Iren and Ora Alice (Butler) Williams. For many years James worked as a mechanic for Foremost Dairy and Mueller Chrysler, Oshkosh. James will be missed very much by his family which includes: his wife of 42 years, Kathy Williams; son, Richard Williams; daughter, Lori Williams (Richard Robinson); granddaughter, Renee (Peter) Hietpas; grandson, Jesse Williams; two great-granddaughters, Cheyanne and Aubrey Hietpas; three sisters, Dorothy (Steve) Tyson, Betty Buchanan, Irene Buchanan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Along with his parents, James was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rene Marie Williams; one brother, Earl Williams; and one sister, Joan Gorski. A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Brinkman officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
