Judith Ann Davies, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 20, 2026. Judy was born on November 27, 1949 in Oshkosh, WI, the only child of George and Merney (Lierman) Carow.

After graduating from Winneconne High School in 1967, Judy attended UW-Madison and UW-Oshkosh earning her bachelor's and master’s degrees. She completed her student teaching requirements at Winneconne Community School District and would go on to work for the Menasha School District for 35 years as a special education teacher.

Judy kept herself busy on weekends and summers by working at the Fin ‘n Feather, a side job she faithfully returned to for 45 years because she truly loved it. This job gave her the opportunity to spend time with some of her best friends.

On April 5, 1985, Judy married Jeffrey Davies, and they made their home in Winneconne.

When Judy wasn’t working, you’d find her at home, curled up with a good book, a glass of wine, and a cat on her lap. In addition to her passion for reading, she loved being in the kitchen, trying out new recipes and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

Judy will be greatly missed by her husband of over 40 years, Jeff; children: Derek (Lisa) Sharratt; Jeff (Katie) Sharratt, all of Winneconne; and Jesse Davies, of Oshkosh; her grandchildren: Drake, Dylan, Hannah and Adelyn Sharratt, all of Winneconne. She is further survived by her sister-in-laws, Dawn (Devin) Schultz, of Omro, Lynnette (Jim) Taugher of Winneconne; brother-in-law, Greg Davies, of Omro; extended family Brittany (Dustin) O’Bright, along with many other family members and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Merney Carow; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved pets.

Judy’s family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Michael D. Wachtel Cancer Center at Ascension Mercy Hospital for their kindness and care.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a future date.
