IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Katisha Evangeline
(Henschel) Jensen
December 9, 1991 – October 9, 2017
The gates of heaven swung open to accept a new angel, Katisha, age 25, on October 9, 2017. Katisha passed away peacefully at her home in Brookfield surrounded by her loving family after a short, but valiant, battle with cancer. Katisha was born on December 9, 1991, in Neenah, Wisconsin to James and Kara (Worm) Henschel. She graduated from Neenah High School in 2010 and continued her education at the Bellin School of Nursing where she graduated in 2015. During her studies, she met the love of her life, Ted Jensen, and they were married on September 10, 2016. Katisha is survived by her loving husband, Ted; her parents, James and Kara Henschel; her brother, Jordyn Henschel; grandparents, John and Joyette Worm and Vera Henschel. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marlyn and Marilyn Henschel; cousin, Tanner Henschel; and great-grandmother, Gertrude Worm. Katisha was an inspiring woman whose primary passion was caring for others through her career as a registered nurse at Aurora Sinai Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Her happiest moments were spent traveling with her husband, including a special honeymoon trip to Thailand. Katisha loved animals of all kinds, making frequent visits to the Milwaukee County Zoo, and becoming an adoring owner of two adopted dogs, Paisley and George, and a cat, Pepper. As a young adult, she enjoyed working as a camp leader in Onaway, mentoring youth on their way to becoming young adults. She also enjoyed the many camping experiences she had with her family, even though she politely declined the invitations from her brother to join him on fishing and hunting excursions. Katisha lived each day to the fullest with the most cheerful disposition. Her infectious smile and genuine laugh will be dearly missed by everyone she knew. A gathering to celebrate Katisha's life will be on Friday, October 13, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Hope Lutheran Church 1850 American Dr. Neenah, and will continue on Sat-urday, October 14 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. A funeral service will be held on Sat-urday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Jeff Prewitt officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Amanda Kong and the oncology team at Froedtert Memorial Hospital for all the compassionate care shown to Katisha. In lieu of flowers, donations will be allocated to Camp Onaway and the Humane Society of Wisconsin. If you wish please submit online condolences to muellerfuneralhomeinc.com. "Shop till you drop, Peaches. We will love and miss you always." Ted
