Kelly Lynn (Wrage) Olson, age 58, of Winneconne, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026, following a battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by her family at Aurora Medical Center.
Kelly was born on May 10, 1968, in Ripon, the daughter of Jerry and Virginia Wrage. She was raised in Omro, where she attended Omro High School. It was there that she met the love of her life, Jim. They were married in June of 1990.
Kelly began her career in cosmetology and later transitioned into the corporate world, working at Hillshire, Mercury Marine, Plexus, and Falcon Blasting. Throughout the years, she led many teams and was known as a remarkable mentor with a strong work ethic.
After being diagnosed with cancer, Kelly was asked what she would change about her life or if she had any remaining buckets-list items. Her response was, “Not a thing. I’ve lived a blessed life.”
Above all, Kelly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and friend. She raised two amazing young men of whom she was incredibly proud of. She was also blessed with a granddaughter, Wrenley, who could do no wrong in Grandma’s eyes. And we can’t forget her beloved bulldogs, Lucy and Dotty.
One of Kelly’s most cherished places was her family’s farm. Over the years, they raised many different animals. She welcomed anyone and everyone to stop by and enjoy the farm. No invitation was needed, and the door was always open. She also opened her farm to the community by hosting a free pumpkin patch for several years, making sure every local child had a fun autumn adventure and a pumpkin to carve. For many years, she organized a hayride that departed from the farm, traveled to local establishments, and returned to the farm for food and drinks. So many lasting memories were made along the way.
Kelly had many “best” friends because she was simply so easy to love. She was one of the kindest human beings one could ever encounter. She was warmhearted, humble, and selfless. Kelly had a gift for making everyone feel like family, no need for a bloodline. She was a steward for putting others first.
When it came to family holidays, Kelly set the bar high. She was known for her superior fish boils at Easter and top-tiered Thanksgiving feasts. Not a single dish was overlooked, and every one of them was a 10 out of 10. The gatherings eventually became standing-room-only because Kelly believed no one should ever spend a holiday alone. She truly was an angel on earth.
She will be so deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kelly is survived by her husband, Jim; her two sons, Benjamin (Nicole Van Asten) Olson and Thomas (Morghan) Olson; and her granddaughter, Wrenley; her father, Jerry (Janet) Wrage; her brother, Eric (Jodi) Wrage; her mother-in-law, Darlene Olson; her brother-in-law, Larry (Judy) Olson; her sister-in-law, Diane (Lee) Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Wrage, and father-in-law, Lawerence Olson.
A Memorial Service for Kelly will be held at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 East Main Street, Winneconne, WI, on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., with a service to follow at 2:30 p.m.
A special thank-you to the family and friends who spent time with Kelly during her final days, making sure she was comfortable and surrounded by love. We would also like to acknowledge the staff at Aurora Oshkosh for their wonderful care and service.
A memorial has been established.
