Kenneth Eugene Zeinert, 83 of Menasha was delivered to his heavenly home on Sunday November 13, 2016. He was born February 1, 1933, to Bruno and Mary (Luebke) Zeinert. Ken was baptized and confirmed at Mears Lutheran Church in the town of Vinland. He attended Mears School and graduated from Neenah High in 1950. Ken worked at various jobs before serving in Panama with the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. In 1956 he married Carol Gruncke and moved to a farm in Winchester where they raised four children. Ken was a truck driver for Schneider in Green Bay for 21 years, making over one million miles. Ken served at St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Larsen and Trinity of Neenah. He loved all the farm work and repair of machinery. Upon retiring he helped his son on the farm, did farm work for neighbors and drove truck partime for Eggers Hardwood Products. Ken really enjoyed all his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and going to Alex's sports events and also the Packers. Ken is survived by wife of 60 years, Carol; children, Lori (Bob) Uitenbroek, Timothy (Karla) Zeinert, Paula (Mike) Thill, and Allison Zeinert; eight grandchildren three great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Dorothy) Zeinert; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and John Weber, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann Zeinert, Joyce and Steve Mihna, Marian and Charles Acton; and nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday November 16, 2016, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church 407 Oak St. Neenah. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Douglas Engelbrecht officiating. Military honors will follow. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. A memorial fund in Ken's name has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church of Neenah. Ken's family wishes to thank the St. Elizabeth Hospital doctors and nurses for their care and compassion, and the Pastors of Trinity, and Heartland services.
