Obituary

LeRoy "Lee" Zeinert, age 86, of Winchester, passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, October 11, 2026, with his daughters by his side. Lee was born on January 7, 1940, in Larsen, Wisconsin, to the late Erwin and Nora (Breaker) Zeinert.

Lee graduated from Winneconne High School in 1958. While working on the farm of the late Ralph and Janice Breaker, he met their niece, Glendone "Glen" Boegh, whom he married at Grace Lutheran Church in Neenah on February 11, 1961. After a short stint with the Neenah Foundry, he accepted a job at Pluswood Industries in Oshkosh, retiring after 42 years. In retirement, he became the greenskeeper at Winchester Hill Golf Course, where his circle of friends grew greatly. Even after handing off the reins as greenskeeper, he remained a daily fixture at the course for morning coffee with his friends.

Lee will forever be remembered by his daughters, Tracy Jacobson, Winchester and Darcy Reetz, New London; his eight grandchildren, Andrew Jacobson (fiancée Kenzie Borszich), Collin (Liz) Reetz, Evan Reetz, Lawson Reetz, Joelle Reetz, Delaney Reetz, Clara Reetz, and Jesse Reetz; his great-grandchildren, Millie Reetz, Samuel Reetz, and Maisie Jacobson, expected to arrive in November; and his dog Peanut. He is further survived by his siblings, Gordon Zeinert, Lois Whitcomb, Herbert Zeinert, and Bonnie Zeinert; his sisters-in-law, Sally Zeinert and Judith Schwandt; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friends, Dick Stanke and Kathy Howard.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Glen; an infant daughter, Gerry Lee; his brothers, Marvin Zeinert, Leonard Zeinert, and Raymond Zeinert; his sister, Doris Behm; his brothers-in-law, Art Eiden, Elnor Behm, Bob Whitcomb, and Lee Schwandt; and his sisters-in-law, June Zeinert, Phyllis Zeinert, Carrie Zeinert, and Carol Zeinert.

Per Lee's wishes, a private graveside service will take place at Clayton Cemetery.
