Obituary

Leslie M. (Kiehl) Day, age 77, of Winneconne, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born on May 4, 1948, in Sheboygan, to Robert and Ardell (Kolberg) Kiehl. On December 27, 1969, Leslie married Robert K. Day, in Sheboygan, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Leslie was a pillar of support for her family. Throughout her life she was active in her children's activities, leading Sunday school classes, coaching sports, and volunteering. She never missed a game or concert. This passion and commitment continued with her grandchildren and she eagerly attended sporting events, recitals, plays, and musicals. She was so proud of everything that her children and grandchildren accomplished. Leslie also loved hosting and attending extended family celebrations.

Leslie was an instructor at Fox Valley Technical College, teaching accounting and business for over 25 years. She loved to develop curriculum and was committed to helping students be successful. She was passionate about the teacher's union and enjoyed negotiating on behalf of the instructors.

Leslie was a woman with a kind heart and a creative spirit. A longtime member of Living Water Lutheran Church, she found joy in both her faith and the friendships she made there. She was proud to serve her community as an election poll worker and loved volunteering at the Winneconne Thrift & Gift. She had a lifelong passion for needlework, knitting, sewing, and quilting, sharing her creations with family and friends who will cherish them always, and with hospitals to comfort newborn babies.

Leslie is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob); her daughter Jennifer (Chris) White; her son Jason (Stacy) Day; and three grandchildren, Ethan, Brandon, and Trystan. She is also survived by her brothers, Kevin (Lori) Kiehl and Nathan Kiehl, and her sister-in-law, Dianne Kiehl. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Kiehl and Eric Kiehl.

A memorial service to celebrate Leslie’s life will be held on January 10, 2026, at Mueller Funeral Home located at 904 E. Main Street, Winneconne. Visitation will be from 9-11am, with service following at 11am.
