Mark David Zimmer, age 58, passed away from an undiagnosed medical condition, at his home in Omro on Thursday, April 24, 2025. He was born the son of Wayne and Marlene Zimmer.

Mark grew up in Omro and lived there throughout his life. He graduated from Omro High School in 1984. For many years he worked at The Omro Store. He enjoyed talking with local hunters and fishermen and hearing their stories. Mark then moved on to work for the Omro School District as a custodian until his passing.

He was an avid fisherman-whether it was an adventure in Canada, fishing the local rivers and lakes, or experiencing ice fishing for the first time. Mark enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July in Scott Park, Christmas with family and watching his Charlie Brown Christmas movie. He also enjoyed watching his Pittsburgh Steelers football, even among a family of Packer fans.

His memory will live on through family and friends. He is survived by his brothers, Michael (Phyllis) Zimmer, Matthew (Allyce) Zimmer; his sisters, Nancy (David) Gay, Marcy (Kenny) Affeldt; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, with a service to follow at 11:30.
