Marvin H. Hanneman Marvin H. Hanneman, age 93, of Oak Creek, formerly of Winneconne, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Ramsey Woods Residence in Cudahy. He was born May 20, 1918, in Winneconne, to the late Paul and Emma (Drager) Hanneman. Marv served his country during World War II in the Army Air Force. While in the service he married Merle Allison on July 9, 1943. He owned and drove school buses for the Winneconne School District. After logging more than 1 million miles, and never missing a day, he retired after 35 years of bus driving service. Marv was awarded the Wisconsin's Outstanding Bus Driver of the Year by the Wisconsin Association for Pupil Transportation. After 65 years of marriage, Marv's wife Merle preceded him in death on July 24, 2008. After Merle's death Marv lived with his daughter and son-in-law until 6 months ago. Marv is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Luona and Fritz Lipske, of Oak Creek; one sister, Etta Jean Safford, of Oshkosh; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, Marv was also preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, immediately followed by a Tribute to a Veteran Service. A private inurnment will be held at a later date in the Winneconne Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
