IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Joseph
Schlimm
November 18, 1954 – January 25, 2023
Michael passed away peacefully at his home on January 25, 2023, at the age of 68. He was born to Catherine and Clement Schlimm on November 18, 1954, and grew up on the family farm with his 6 brothers and sisters. After graduating from Hortonville High School in 1973 Mike attended Fox Valley Technical College and became a welder at Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, WI. In 1975, Mike returned to his farming roots and bought his own farm.
Mike was an active member of his community, serving on the Town of Winchester board and later becoming Town Supervisor. He was known for his commitment to Winchester remaining an agricultural, green space. In addition to his work within his community, Mike served on various boards for local farm cooperatives and most recently volunteered at St. Joe's Food Pantry.
Mike enjoyed camping and spending time with family. His absolute favorite thing to do was to work side-by-side with his children on the family farm. Mike's children were the most important thing to him and he always put their needs first. He will be remembered for his kind heart, jovial nature, big smile, and his pride in his farm.
He is survived by his children: Theresa (Zach) Dewitt, Mike (Jessica) Schlimm, Jr., Nathan (Megan) Schlimm, his grandchildren: Evan, Gabriel, Delizzah, and Catherine Dewitt, and William and Bennett Schlimm: his siblings: Barb (Ed) Griesbach, Richard Schlimm, Kay (Dave) Howman, David (Mary) Schlimm, John (Deb) Schlimm and Susan Schlimm Jansen.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Catherine and Clement Schlimm.
