On August 10, 2013, Nancy Marie (Close) Amundson, born on May 12, 1947, was called home to our Lord to be with her daughter Jill Ann Amundson, who preceded her in death on December 29, 1989. Nancy will be remembered by all of the kids she babysat that she showed her patience and love, and working part-time at Dick and Pat's Midway Supper Club in Butte des Morts. She also loved gardening, reading, and camping. Surviving her and holding her hand while Nancy went home was her best friend, Donald L. Amundson, whom she married on August 31, 1963; her two sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin and Sherri, Tony and Tina; her favorite people who called her grandma, Aaron, Alyssa, Nicolette (Andreas), Hunter; and great-granddaughter, Teagan Rose. She is also survived by three sisters, Sharon Whitty, Pat Dake, and Mary Hahn; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dick Amundson, Ken and Bernice Amundson, Louise and Bob Lee, Sharon and Rodney Schmidt, Marlene and Ray Decker, Delores and David Domke, Donna and William Hayes, June and Joe Dobrynski; a special niece, Teresa; and other relatives and friends. Preceding Nancy in death were her parents, John and Lucy Close; and many other relatives. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne, with Fr. Doug LeCaptain and Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will follow in the Bell Cemetery, town of Winneconne. A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, August 13 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St. Winneconne, and will continue on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Nancy's family wishes to thank Dr. Thomas Klinkhammer and the staff of the Michael D.
