Obituary

Norman Tetzke, age 84, of Neenah, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at Rennes Health Center in Appleton, with his family at his side. He was born on the family farm on October 1, 1927, in the town of Rushford to the late Herbert and Albia (Schroeder) Tetzke. Norman was baptized, confirmed, and a lifelong faithful member of the Borth United Methodist Church. He was a 1945 graduate of Omro High School. On September 22, 1950, Norman married Dorothy Hansen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah. For 8 years he hauled milk for and worked on the Alfred Erdman farm. Norman then went to work at Kimberly-Clark in Neenah where he was employed for 30 years until his retirement in 1987. Norman and Dorothy enjoyed traveling, taking a trip to Alaska in 1988, and for 21 years they spent their winters in Yuma, Arizona. He always had a garden and fruit trees. Norman was an avid hunter, fisherman, and sturgeon spearer. Norman is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Tetzke, of Neenah; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Steve Eake, of Neenah; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Kristin Tetzke, of Germantown; five grandchildren, Nicole (Kip) Ewald, Scott Eake, and Tara, Lauren, and Madeline Tetzke; one great-granddaughter, Taegen Baird; one brother, Herbert Tetzke, Jr.; and three nephews. Along with his parents, Norman was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Linda Tetzke. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Borth United Methodist Church, W304 Cty Rd D, Berlin, with Pastor George Groves officiating. Burial will be in the Borth Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, August 7 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main St., Winneconne, and will continue on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
