Paul H. Christensen Eau Claire, Wisconsin Paul H. Christensen, age 56, of Eau Claire, died of cancer, Thursday, January 28, 2010, at the Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona. He was born February 28, 1953, in Neenah, to the late Harry and Marie (Sorenson) Christensen. In 1978 Paul moved to Eau Claire, and from 1980 until the present time he had worked at the Eau Claire YMCA. Paul played wheelchair basketball competitively through the Courage Center in Minneapolis. A true sports fan, he loved the Eau Claire Blugolds, the Packers, Brewers, and almost any other sports that happened to be on TV at the time. Paul will be missed by special friend, Jim Heaps, his card playing buddies at Wagner's, the staff at Old Country Buffet, and all of the countless people he dealt with on a daily basis at the YMCA, especially Ken Van Es. Paul loved life and loved people. Paul is survived by two sisters, Sally Christensen, of Gilbert, Arizona; Sue (Jim) Brooks, of Winneconne; two nephews, Steve (Tammy) Brooks, of Winneconne; Christopher (Val) Brooks, of Bonduel; great-nieces and great-nephews, Alex, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Trenton, and Dylan; and two aunts, Marge Krings and Mabel Smith, both of Winneconne. A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with a graveside service to follow in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Winchester.
