Paul James Rosenthal, 54, of Omro passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS for the past 5 years. He was born on August 27, 1970, in Berlin, Wisconsin to the late David and Delores (Langeberg) Rosenthal. Paul married Dianne Zink on September 13, 1997, in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Paul was a 1989 graduate of Berlin High School. After high school he entered the work force in the glass industry. Paul's last place of employment was H.J. Martin in Green Bay as a glazier. He was a member of the IUPAT Local 1204 Union for 25 years until he was forced to retire due to his illness. He was a hard worker - he worked hard and played harder. He loved snowmobiling, motorcycling, boating, and just having fun spending time with friends socializing. He had fun until the day he passed. If you know Paul, you have at least one funny or memorable story to tell. He was the life of the party. His true pride and joy was his son Trent, he was so proud of him and his accomplishments.
Paul is survived by his wife, Dianne (Zink) Rosenthal; son, Trent Rosenthal, both of Omro; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Yvonne Zink, of Omro; aunt, Mary Kay (Lee) Poehlman, of Waupaca; sister, Margie (Vince) Bradley, of Omro; brothers, Gerald Rosenthal, of Wild Rose; and Edward Rosenthal, of Eureka; sister-in-law, Karen (Corey) McMullin, of Omro; nieces, Tracey Bradley, of Oshkosh; Lisa (David) McClelland, of Wild Rose; and Brandi Rosenthal, of Auroraville; nephews, Troy Bradley, of Oshkosh; Jake (Megan) McMullin, of Omro; Kyle (Elly) McMullin, of Oshkosh; other relatives and so many special friends that were just like his family.
Preceding Paul's death were his parents, David and Delores (Langeberg) Rosenthal; brothers, David and John Rosenthal; and a niece, Shana Rosenthal.
Paul's family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to various caregivers at ThedaCare Hospice, Froedtert Hospital ALS team, Team Gleason, and the ALS Association.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Eureka Cemetery.
A memorial for Paul will be established in the future.
