Obituary

Peggy Ann Hodge, age 62 of Oshkosh, was called home to the Lord on September 16, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1964 to the late Clarence and Barbara (Smith) Hodge.

Peggy worked for The Buckstaff Company in her early years, where she took pride in the craftsmanship of their furniture. She later became a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, known for her warm smile and friendly conversation on her route until her retirement.

Peggy loved being a mom and nana. She loved finding the right gifts for her children and grandchildren and enjoying family holidays with everyone. If she knew her friends and family needed anything, you could bet she would find it for them. It brought her joy to do things for others.

Peggy was a dedicated member of Bible Baptist Church in Winneconne, where she lovingly served anyway she could. She also had a great love for playing her musical instruments. She shared her musical talents with her church family and embraced her faith with joy. She also used her musical talents to play for the Oshkosh Area Community Band, which she enjoyed playing in concerts and loved playing in the parades. She was a passionate fan of Star Trek and enjoyed attending the Pickett Steam and Engine Shows, where her love for Farmall tractors flourished. A true jack-of-all-trades, Peggy was well-versed in everything from medicine to mechanics, and she expressed her creativity through vast types of crafts.

Peggy is lovingly survived by her children, Katie (Kevin) Scholl, Becky (Dutch) Perzee and Alan Bahr; her beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Brooklynn, Peyton, Lance, Luke and Lily; sisters, April Downs and Gail (Donald) Wojahn. She is further survived by nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her grandparents, her brother-in-law Ben Downs, and nephew Benji Downs.

A funeral service for Peggy will be officiated by Rev. Robert Hatch and will be held at Bible Baptist Church, hosted at the First Presbyterian Church, 32 S. Third Ave, Winneconne, WI 54986 on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will take place at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A private burial will be held at Liberty Prairie Cemetery.
