Phillip Schuman, age 90, died Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at his home in Neenah, WI. He was born on April 11, 1936, to the late Louis and Malinda (Braasch) Schuman in Elgin, IL.

Phillip loved riding his bicycle and cherished his collection of stuffed animals. He enjoyed working at Lakeside Packaging until he retired in 2016 and looked forward to the special times he spent at Camp Onaway

Those who knew him will surely remember some of his favorite sayings: “Still kicking,” “10 bucks,” and his ever-friendly “Hi, Neighbor.” They were simple words, but in his voice and with his personality behind them, they became part of his signature. Hearing those familiar phrases was just one of the many small joys of knowing him, and they will live on in the memories of all who loved him.

He is survived by his brother, Danny Schuman, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane & Orville Wohlrabe and Paula & Larry Egan.

A Celebration of Life for Phillip will be held on Friday September 18, 2026 at Mueller Funeral Home(904 E. Main St. Winneconne) at noon where people in attendance are encouraged to share stories and memories of Phillip. Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the celebration. Inurnment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at ThedaCare Hospice for all their support and kindness, especially Hailey, Grace, Lucas, and Stephanie.

A memorial will be established to ThedaCare Hospice.
