IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard "Dick"
"Bucko" Lee
September 11, 1938 – July 16, 2014
Richard "Dick" "Bucko" Lee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Care Partners in Winneconne. He was born September 11, 1938, the son of the late Leland and Marion (Craig) Lee. Dick was an avid sports fan, enjoying the Brewers, Packers, Badgers, all Major League Baseball, NFL football, as well as youth and high school sports, and a good sheepshead game. He took pride as manager of the Poygan Irish Baseball team, leading them to several championships, and he also coached Little League Baseball and the Winneconne Legion Baseball team for many years, and spent countless years teaching kids how to play baseball. Dick refereed basketball at the high school level and many area recreational leagues, never missing a call. He also umpired baseball at the high school and youth league levels. Dick lived on the family farm in Poygan, enjoying the country life and family. His memories took him back to the one room White School, graduating from Omro High School, and working at Morgan's/Jeld-Wen and the friends he made there. Dick never passed up a good home cooked meal, popcorn and a root beer, a good burger, or a plate of Jorgie's fish. Christmas time was very special to him, he was the family Santa, and loved buying special gifts for all. Dick was very proud of Irish heritage. Surviving Dick are two sisters, Janet O'Keefe, Dianne Kallas; three brothers, Bob (Kathy), Don (Joni), Gary (Sue); an aunt, Eleanor Craig; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Along with his parents, Dick was also preceded in death by one brother, Howard. A visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, July 28, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant Dr. Winneconne. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Inurnment will be on Tuesday, July 29 in St. Thomas Cemetery, Poygan. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. God bless all. Dick's family would like to thank the staffs of Care Partners, Winneconne, Omro Care Center, and Heartland Hospice for the very special care he received. Many thanks also to St. Marys, Winneconne for always keeping him in prayer and for the special cards and flowers he received, and to his friend Darlene for all of her visits.
