IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Richard
Binder
March 14, 1959 – July 3, 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert R. Binder announces his passing. Robert Richard Binder, 57, of Winneconne, passed away Sunday July 3, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh, with his family by his side. He will be sadly and sorely missed. Bob will be remembered for his big heart, his great sense of humor, and his lovable personality. He was born on March 14, 1959, to Ronald and Barbara Binder. Bob married the love of his life, Cindy L. Wiley on October 15, 1977. Together they shared many laughs, great adventures in the outdoors, and two wonderful children, Chad and Sarah. Bob worked many jobs, but finished off his working career at Neenah Paper. In the 25 years that he worked there, he made a lot of friends and created some wonderful memories. Bob was an on-the-go type of guy, always messing around with something. Whether it is his birdhouse collection, his hunting and fishing excursions or finding an open area on the land for yet another tree. He was a connoisseur of anything sweet and loved to have a "beer or two". He loved spending time with his family but for Bob nothing was better than the time he spent with his grandboys; teaching them to hunt and fish was one of Bob's true passions. There are too many words to describe Bob and the way he was with everyone he met. He was always willing to help in any way he could; anyone who knew Bob would agree. Bob is survived by his wife Cindy Binder, of Winneconne; his son Chad (Jenn) Binder, of Winneconne; his daughter Sarah (Chad) Unmuth, of Oshkosh; his pride and joys grandsons, Everett, Logan, and Coleman; his step-dad Ken Burgett; his step-mom Dawn Binder; his sisters Tina (Joe) Huinker and Kathy Binder, both of Oshkosh. He is also survived by his stepsiblings Keith (Angie) Burgett, Diane (Tom) Burgett, and Cheryl (Paul) Steffen; his in-laws, Terry (Nadine) Wiley, and Wendy Wiley; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and so many wonderful friends. And not to forget his baby-girl puppy Trixie. Bob was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Binder Burgett; his father Ronald Binder; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Delbert and Vera Wiley; and his stepbrothers Brian Burgett and Jim Colburn. Bob is now in so much better of a place, where monstrous bucks roam and the lunkers always bite, with endless supplies of Miller Lite and bakery. He always said that God put us here to see what we could make of it, and Bob, you exceeded His expectations. You will live in our hearts forever, sadly missed, but never forgotten. A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, July 9, 2016, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church 6090 Harbour South, Winneconne (corner of Harbour South and Hwy 116). A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Kevin Heffernan officiating. A celebration of Bob's life will be on Saturday at noon at Woodeye's Bar and Grill, Winneconne. In lieu of flowers memorials have been set up in Bob's name at the Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology Clinic, Oshkosh, and the Lord of the Lakes Lutheran Church. An extra special thank you to his doctors Karen and LaDonna and the nurses at the Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology Clinic, and everyone at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
