Robert “Bob” Warren Fuhs, age 91, Winneconne, passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2026 at Country Villa Assisted Living in Omro, Wisconsin. Robert was born on August 30th, 1934 to Warren and Ella Fuhs, Winneconne.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, Packers fan, and storyteller.
As he aged, he lived vicariously through his grandchildren’s hunting and army stories which he would share with all who listened. Robert was sure proud of his grandchildren.
Robert was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Winneconne, WI.
Robert was a hard working man all of his life and he could fix just about anything. He farmed and welded for many years before becoming a maintenance technician at Wire Products Nail Factory in Hortonville, WI.
Once he retired, he could be found outdoors sitting in a chair with a cold beverage.
Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. He was stationed in Beirut, Lebanon and Germany where he met the love of his life, Brigitte (Marina) Volk.
Robert married his German bride in 1959. They were married for 66 years. Together, they raised four children. Through the years they gained 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife Brigitte (Volk) Fuhs, brother-in-law Lee (Betty) Mauritz, brother Howie and sister-in-law Judy (Benedict) Fuhs, daughter Carmen Fuhs, daughter Lisa and son-in-law Patrick Kerrigan, son Bryan and daughter-in-law Stephanie (Christianson) Fuhs, daughter Andrea and son-in-law Michael Farrell, grandchildren: Erin Kerrigan (Dan Rudkevitch), James (Ashley) Kerrigan, Ashli (Matthew) Ellis, Molly Kerrigan (Michael Orndoff), Evan (Emily) Fuhs, Baleigh (Mitchell) Dammen, SSG Jordan Fuhs, Lillian Fuhs, Landan Fuhs, 2LT Mikayla Farrell, Jenna Farrell, eight great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Ella (Hunt) Fuhs, sister Mary (Fuhs) Johnson and brother-in-law Howard Johnson, and twin sister Betty (Fuhs) Mauritz.
The family is deeply appreciative of the care Robert received from Country Villa Assisted Living in Omro and St. Croix Hospice.
All of his caregivers were wonderful and kind.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, will be handling arrangements.
