Rodney Dean Cartwright Winneconne, Wisconsin Rodney Dean Cartwright, age 62, of Winneconne, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. He was born December 4, 1948, in California to the late Kenneth and Rose (Befus) Cartwright. Rodney was a 1966 graduate of Winneconne High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968 until 1971. On May 22, 1970, Rodney married Lucille Fields. Starting in 1971 Rodney worked for 10 years at Wagner's Industrial Products in Winneconne, then at Marble Park Lanes in Winneconne for 2 years, and from 1982 until 1984 he worked at Paul's Supermarket in Winneconne. From 1985 until his retirement in 2010, Rodney was employed by Oshkosh Truck Corp. Rodney had been involved in Boy Scouts, and was a member of the Giles-Luce American Legion Post 364 - Winneconne. Rodney is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lucy Cartwright, of Winneconne; two sons, Russell (Lisa Bilderback) Cartwright, of Hastings, Minnesota; Anthony Cartwright, of Winneconne; his grandchildren, Curtis (Samantha) Kain, of Oshkosh; Kenny and Brooke Cartwright, of Hastings, Minnesota; one great-grandchild, Mariah Kain, of Oshkosh; one sister, Jonelle (John) Balson, of Milwaukee; two brothers, George Cartwright, of Oshkosh; Michael (BeBe) Cartwright, of Milwaukee; nephews and nieces, Wade (Gail) Balson, of Milwaukee; Michelle (Dave) Sobczak, of Milwaukee; Sara Cartwright, of Oshkosh; Marisha Cartwright, of Minnesota; Mike Cartwright, of Montana; Adam and Joey Cartwright, both of Milwaukee; and two great-nieces, Kari and Casy Balson, of Milwaukee. Cremation has taken place and a Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
