Obituary

Sharyn Lee (Crober) Hendrickson, age 80, of Neenah, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in Neenah, Wisconsin, on June 2, 2026.

Born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Wallace G. Crober and Margaret Ann (Miracle) Crober, Sharyn lived a life defined by faith, love, service, kindness, and devotion to family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert C. Hendrickson; her parents, Wallace G. Crober and Margaret Ann (Miracle) Crober; her brother, Wallace Richard Crober; her aunt and uncle, Clarence “Cork” and Leona “Onie” (Buss) Crober; her paternal grandparents, Harry and Laura (Belle) Crober; and her maternal grandparents, John and Margaret (Woek) Miracle.

Sharyn graduated from Oshkosh Senior High School in 1964 and went on to enjoy a nursing career that allowed her to care for others in a variety of settings. Although nursing was an important part of her life, her greatest calling was caring for the people she loved. While she was a dedicated nurse, she willingly set aside professional ambitions at various times in her life to care for her husband, raise her children, and support family members in their times of need. In their later years, she lovingly cared for her parents, as well as her aunt and uncle, Clarence “Cork” and Leona “Onie” (Buss) Crober. She considered caring for those she loved not a responsibility, but a privilege.

On June 8, 1968, she married the love of her life, Robert C. Hendrickson. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and love. After many years of hoping and waiting to become parents, they were blessed with the children they had long dreamed of, Heidi Lee (Hendrickson) Reagan and Erik Wallace Hendrickson. Becoming a mother was among the greatest joys of Sharyn’s life. She was endlessly proud of both of her children and never stopped believing in them. Through every triumph and every challenge, she offered unwavering love, steadfast support, and the reassurance that family would always be there.

A woman of strong faith, Sharyn placed her trust in the Lord throughout her life. Her faith guided her actions, strengthened her during difficult times, and shaped the compassion and grace she extended to others. She lived her beliefs through acts of kindness, generosity, and service.

Nothing brought Sharyn greater joy than her grandchildren, Margaret Rose “Maggie” Reagan, Madeline Mae “Maddie” Reagan, and Maxwell Robert “Max” Reagan. They were the light of her life, and she cherished every opportunity to spend time with them. She took great pride in watching them grow into the remarkable young people they have become.

One of Sharyn’s greatest wishes was that her grandchildren always know how deeply they were loved. She was immensely proud of each of them and wanted them to carry that knowledge with them throughout their lives. She hoped they would always remember that they would never be alone and that her love, guidance, and presence would remain with them in their hearts forever.

Sharyn found joy in music, especially in the later years of her life. She loved arranging flowers, creating stained-glass pieces, and decorating her home, taking pride in making it a warm and welcoming place for family and friends. She also enjoyed hosting family gatherings whenever she could. More than any pastime, she treasured the simple gift of being surrounded by the people she loved.

Sharyn will be remembered as a kind and giving friend who never hesitated to help someone in need. She offered her time, encouragement, and support freely, not for recognition, but because caring for others came naturally to her. She dedicated her life to the service of others and touched countless lives with her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love.

She will be deeply loved and greatly missed by her daughter, Heidi Lee (Hendrickson) Reagan and husband, Mykle Reagan; her son, Erik Wallace Hendrickson; her grandchildren, Margaret Rose “Maggie” Reagan, Madeline Mae “Maddie” Reagan, and Maxwell Robert “Max” Reagan; Beau Eichhorst; her sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Richard) Bondow, Darci Hendrickson, and Carol (Kenneth) Boyle; her dear friends, Jill Esslinger, Julyd (Mark) Hallemeyer, Diane Jones, and Carol (John) Ross; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

More than anything, Sharyn will be remembered for the love she gave so freely. Her family never doubted that they were cherished, supported, and deeply loved. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she adored, and the example of faith, kindness, and selflessness she leaves behind.

A private family funeral service celebrating Sharyn’s life and faith will be held. Sharyn will be laid to rest at Brooks Cemetery in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, beside her beloved husband, Robert, and among the many family members she loved and cherished throughout her life.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23
