Obituary

Stephen P. Radank Oshkosh, Wisconsin "The good man does not escape all troubles, he has them too, but the Lord helps him in each one." Psalm 34:19 Stephen P. Radank, age 54, of Oshkosh, was unexpectedly taken home to be with his Lord on Monday, March 22, 2010. In death Steve was able to help other people by being a tissue donor. He was born August 23, 1955, in Milwaukee to the late William and Arline (Froemming) Radank. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Milwaukee. In 1991, Steve came to know the Lord and was baptized and became a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Appleton, where was a AWANA leader, served as the treasurer, and with a voice that God gifted him with and he loved to use, sang in the choir. On May 14, 1994, Steve's life changed when he married Kay Lynn Allen, and this brought him his greatest gift, his son Isaac. Steve had worked as a security guard for the Oak Creek Power Plant in Milwaukee, did route sales and delivery for Levy Periodicals, and did assembly work for Simmons Mattress in Neenah. Due to physical limitations, Steve was forced to retire, but even in disability God was always first in his life. What his disability took from his body could not take from his spirit and he always continued to be positive. Steve enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia with his brother Peter, and they went to signings where he met many professional athletes. He was an avid John Wayne fan, collecting John Wayne memorabilia, and also had collections of Occupied Japan items and sports cards. Steve was a Star Trek fan and was a member of the U.S.S. Fox River Star Fleet International Organization. He loved to cook and collected, studied, and read cook books from cover to cover. Steve is survived by his wife, Kay Lynn Radank, of Oshkosh; one son, Isaac Carl Allen Radank, of Oshkosh; two brothers, John (Rose) Radank, of Hohenfels, Germany; Peter Radank, of West Bend; in-laws, Todd and Donna Allen, Lana and Ron Fisher, Kathleen and Andrew Kintopf, all of Oshkosh; Faye and Dennis Storck, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Steve was also preceded in death by one brother, William Radank; and an infant nephew, William Carl Radank. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Pastor David Eisley officiating. A Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been established for Steve's son Isaac. "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be no mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away."
