Thomas "Tom" G. Weir, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at home in Winneconne with his partner and a granddaughter by his side.

Tom was born Marh 13, 1931, in Oak Park, Illinois to John and Mildred (Vessly) Weir, and he had three siblings, Jack, Mary, and Kathy.

He served in the Korean War as a Navy gunner's mate on the USS Missouri.

Next to his partner Cheryl, fishing was his passion and second love. They spent many days boating and fishing in Canada, Lake Erie, Lake Michigan, Door County, and of course our local lakes. That is the reason Tom and Cheryl moved to Winneconne 22 years ago from Illinois.

Tom is survived by the love of his life, Cheryl Baker; three children, Greg, Lauren, and Jennifer; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding Tom is death were his parents; brother, Jack; a sister, Mary; and a son, Michael.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Compassus Hospice, especially Jessica, Chris, and Canoe, for their wonderful care and assistance.

Per Tom's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service held.
