Harold P. Reinert, age 87, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, with family by his side.

He was born January 26, 1933, in the town of Poygan to Paul and Louella Reinert. He married Elaine L. Reinert (Akey) on October 19, 1957. They had 63 years of happiness. Since 1955, Harold proudly worked as an operating engineer, where he helped build roads through Wisconsin and Michigan. He worked at J.F. Bloomer Incorporated and Reliance Incorporated, retiring in 1996.

Raised on a family farm, Harold carried his love for gardening into his own family home and passed on this passion to his grandchildren. His joy of the outdoors continued throughout his adult life as he fished with his brother Fritz as often as he could. Harold also enjoyed baseball and auto racing.

His love for his wife, daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was beyond measure, and he will be missed by many.

Harold is survived by his wife Elaine, daughter Wendy Trembly, his grandchildren Jason Trembly (Sara), Chelsea Huszar (Chris), Alexa Trembly (Emory), great-grandchildren Lucy, Will, Harrison, Jack, and Ava. He is also survived by his siblings, sister Marion, brothers Jim (Julie), Charles (Louise), William (Arlene), and Robert (Cec).

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Ruth, Judy, and Beverly, and brothers Fritz, Rex, Kenneth, and John.

A private funeral was held on Saturday, January 2, 2021. Burial in the Brooks Cemetery, town of Vinland.

In lieu of flowers a memorial funds have been established at Allenville Baptist Church and Mercy Health Foundation.
